WOD
When setting the bar for squats you want to make sure it's positioned correctly on your back- and make sure your spine/ neck is loose and core is tight
Take it off the racks and position your feet in a shoulder width stance and feet pointing out gripping the bar tight with your hands
You want to aim for the back of your legs to touch your calves
On the way up lightly press with your hands on the bar

Workout Today or (WOD) in crossfit terms
Today the WOD consisted of a warm up of some ab exercises. After the warm up I did 5 sets of 3 rep incline bench presses. As my weight on the incline bench I did two warm up round of just the bar- then my rounds consisted of 1: 5 lbs on each side (so 55lbs including the bar) 2: 7.5 lbs on each side (60lbs) 3: 10lbs on each side (65lbs) 4:12.5 lbs on each side (70lbs) and last set is called down to 5: 7.5 lbs on each side (60lbs). After the incline bench I did an AMRAP as many reps as possible in 7 minutes of front squat with 40lbs (I've taken a week off I'm a little weak) and box jump the reps went 3squat 3box jump then increase to 6 for both then 9 for both then 12 for both and so on by increases of 3 until the 7 minute timer goes off. After the AMRAP I did toe touches EMOM (every minute on the minute) for 10 minutes.
The short of it
Warm up: ABS
Incline bench: 5 sets of 3
AMRAP: front squat and box jump sets of 3,6,9,12 continuing by threes timed for 7 minutes
Toe touches: 8 reps EMOM every minute on the minute for 10 minutes
It's a great day to be alive
Today the weather is a whopping 70 degrees and sunny in OH so naturally I had to take advantage of it. I got out of work early made myself an awesome lunch and took the pups for a walk. Lately I have been trying to have my lunches be vegan or at the least vegetarian. Today I had a spinach salad with fresh tomatoes carrots and a fantastic lemon garlic dressing. On the side I had mashed avocado and blue corn chips. YUM! I enjoyed my lunch on the patio along with some great magazines- food and reading materials all from my favorite place Whole Foods.
Purpose of the blog
Originally I started this blog because I was spending the summer in San Francisco with my sister and I became bored going to work with her everyday with nothing to do. I would constantly look at Pinterest and other blogs and thought why not start my own fashion blog. In the two years since I've changed, like most people do in life. I still love fashion but now I also have a passion for a clean and healthy lifestyle. I love fitness, clean eating, the outdoors, shopping and eating local, as well as practicing life in an environmentally friendly and spiritual way. With that being said, from this point on my purpose of the blog will be to bring you health, fitness, fashion, and all around lifestyle habits and tips to hopefully enrich your life. :)
Thank you to you all
